Ladies In-Home Lingerie Parties

An In-Home Ladies Lingerie Party You Ask? You might have also heard these evenings referred to as Pleasure Parties or Passion Parties. Well, it will be my "Pleasure" to explain!

What's more fun to talk about than SEX? Especially with your girlfriends in a fun, comfortable atmosphere like someone's home where you get a chance to have open, fun, honest and uninhibited conversations.

Or if you're not the vocal type (that likes to share your personal sexy stories) you can just sit quietly and drink it all in! That's okay too. I can guarantee there will be some ladies in attendance who love to share and everyone will be entertained.

If you were a die-hard "Sex and the City" fan (like I was), you saw how much time those ladies spent talking about their sexual exploits, their ups-and-downs and ins and outs (so to speak) they had with their men. And how much did we enjoy hearing about their adventures? If you were like me you were glued to the TV every Wednesday night. P.S. the Movie is Fabulous - I highly recommend it.

A delightful lady shared at a recent lingerie party of mine that her three year-old son had somehow gotten into her nightstand and found her vibrator. He had turned it on and was chasing the dog around the house with it. She was mortified and so was Fluffy I'm sure.

Another lady showed up at the hostess' home and said "My husband made me come to this lingerie party. He even took the night off work to watch the kids to make sure I didn't have an excuse not to attend. I guess this means I'm going to have to start having sex again." I guess it had been awhile and her husband was going to make sure he fixed that!

And the stories go on and on. Sometimes by the end of the party I have cried off most of my mascara because I've been laughing so hard that I had tears running down my cheeks.

My Story!

I have first-hand experience with this. Believe it or not, I used to be one of those women. I know, I know. It's hard to believe since now I sell sex toys for a living. But stay with me here.

Many years ago (before I got into the lingerie party business) I had a fabulous, gorgeous girlfriend who I thought was super cool and completely comfortable with her sexuality. She was telling a group of us at dinner one evening about the new sex toy her husband gave her for her birthday. It was called the "Beaver". She explained it in great intriguing detail. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. WOW! She really got me thinking about that toy. On the way home I kept thinking that I had never had anything like that "Beaver" before and I was going to get one for myself. I deserved it.

So after a few days I told myself that I was going to put on my big girl panties and walk into that sex toy store and buy myself a "Beaver" for crying out loud. What's the big deal I told myself? So there I was driving back to the same store. I parked the car, got out and actually walked into the store this time. It felt really weird but I was trying to act confident and comfortable with it. I could really do this (or so I thought)!

Well, I gulped and walked back there. I stepped through the curtains and looked around. WOW! I saw things on those walls that I had no words for OR any idea what I might use them for. I saw things in every color imaginable and some of them were pretty scary looking. It was a whole new world.

After a few minutes I heard "can I help you"? I turned around and saw the most drop-dead gorgeous tall, blonde very young man behind the counter (he was probably 20 years old if that). I'm sure I turned 20 shades of red! Oh Man! I couldn't do this. I said "No Thank You" and turned around and walked right back out the black curtains and out the front door. There was no way I was going to have a conversation with that super cute guy about beavers! OMG! Why couldn't I have gotten the nice lady I saw when I first walked in? It was way too much for me.

Now some of you will probably read this and think "oh for heaven's sakes". I can't believe this grown woman in her early 30's couldn't walk into a sex toy store and just buy herself a toy. Well this was quite a few years ago and things were different back then. Shows like "Sex and the City" and magazines and books and other media hadn't made talking about sex and sex toys seem as acceptable "normal" as it is now.

Hostessing or attending a home Lingerie Party can whip up a mini-movement within your own peer group that says "Sex is Good For You and it's Fun. Come over to my house. We are going to have some laughs, talk about sex and make sexuality the easy-going breath of fresh air it's supposed to be!" Suddenly you've planted a little seed within your circle of friends. Even if they don't come to your lingerie party, you have them thinking about sex and that's a good thing. If you don't believe me ask their partners!

Women who have not been to a tastefully done yet loads of fun adult toy home party might not understand the power these parties hold. They may have misconstrued ideas that nice ladies don't go to these parties. I think some people have visions of all kinds of perverted and kinky things going on at a lingerie party (I'm not sure what-I don't think I want to know). We have some wild imaginations sometimes!

Making sexual empowerment possible (especially to women) is the most important outcome and why I love my job so much! It's liberating and gives us all the tools and ideas to become better lovers and partners. And I can promise you it will be one the most exciting and educational nights you've had in a long time. There will be "buzz" about it for weeks afterwards!
